Click Here to Download the first WBNC Newsletter On Sunday 27th May at 4pm a new church will be born in the black country. West Bromwich Network Church aims to reach over 11,000 young adults (16-30) in the next 7 years. The first part of this work is to plant a family focussed church in Guns Village School in the heart of West Bromwich. The service will be very seeker friendly. Expect quality refreshments and drink, an excellent live band, videos, activities for the kids (of all ages), and a powerful message. We are fundamentally Bible based, Spirit filled and seeker focussed. That might not sound so unusual to some of you. But we're also Church of England! Who'd have thought it eh. This is an exciting and totally new venture with a huge vision to build a church of thousands of young adults (notice this isn't about youth, but about young adults, 20-30's) over the next few years. West Bromwich Network Church is not part of any other existing church, but a completely new venture starting alongside the existing churches. It has been appointed by Lichfield Diocese, and Evan Cockshaw is an ordained Anglican minister with 7 years full time ministry experience. Our vision is to plant new styles of contemporary churches dotted across West Bromwich, each geared at a particular group, culture or community. Underlying this we want to see hundreds of small Life Groups meeting in pubs, clubs, schools, colleges, workplaces and homes in which authentic relationships are built and discipleship happens. Pie in the sky? No I don't think so. I believe that God has prepared the way for this through the faithful prayers and ministries of so many churches and christians in the West Bromwich area for so many years. So please pray for us as we begin this exciting new work. We've printed 5000 postcards which need to be delivered in 5 days starting on the 21st May. I'm going to be walking the streets of the estates around Guns Village school and praying as I go to each letterbox. Will you join me? Call me on 07958 050009 if you or your church can help. We could ask Royal Mail to do it, but they don't tend to pray as they go, and they charge a lot more! If you think this is exciting and want to join us - DONT! We don't want any transfer growth unless God massively convicts you and me that it is right. But that will be a surprise to me. What we do need is support for a time. If you or your church feels you can support with practical help or financial help please pray about it and call me on 07958 050009. On Sunday 27th May we need some donations of good cakes and snacks please. We also need some people to help man a few things like refreshments, a bookstall, and general help with mundane things - and possibly a bouncy castle (but negotiations are still on going at it might not be possible).
