On the 8th July (6.30-9pm) The Rt Revd Clive Gregory, Bishop of Wolverhampton and the Venerable Bob Jackson, Archdeacon of Walsall will be gathering the churches of Wednesbury and West Bromwich together to celebrate the wonderful good news coming out of our local churches.The location is the field adjacent to All Saint's Moxley on the Black Country New Road. Bp. Clive and AD Bob are touring around the whole of Bp Clive's episcopal area (that's the whole area he covers as a Bishop) on a canal boat! Stopping along the way to celebrate the Lord's work in each place. 

For us the Going for Growth Celebration will be marked with a fantastic summer evening's sizzling entertainment and fellowship. You'll really be missing out if you don't come along. We've hired a great big marquee to house us all in, including a stage, PA system and live band who will both play music throughout the evening and lead our worship later on. There will be black country poetry and maybe even some other surprises on the night ... not least of which will be Bp Clive and AD Bob addressing us all at some point. There will be stories of the great things our churches are doing too and a chance to worship together informally. 

Best of all though (you can tell where my heart is!) will be the food!!! We have hired in professional caterers toserve us spit roast lamb and spit roast beef, all cooked on site, and served to us with rolls, salad, sauces and minted potatoes.

Please bring your own drink for either yourself or to share with others. We'll bring the cups, plates, cutlery and food ... you bring yourselves and a drink! That's the deal!

Why bother? Well, simply because it is GOOD to have a fun evening of fellowship together. Church is pretty tough here in the Black Country quite often, especially in the more deprived areas such as West Bromwich. So let's have an evening off and remind ourselves how good it is for God's people to come together in love and friendship, get to know each other and let our hair down a little.

This is your chance to represent your church. It will be an awful shame if any of our churches AREN'T there. They'll be left out of the party and left out of the picture. So please come and please bring at least 10 people from your church. Tickets are £1.50 as a nominal fee to gather a level of interest. If you can't buy a ticket before the night then please come along anyway and we'll hope to have enough food for everyone!
