The overall purpose of West Bromwich Network Church is to provide a type of church which is an excellent place for young people and young adults to come, to enjoy building relationships with each other, to explore more about God together, and to bless the community around them. It's simple really. 85% of people still call themselves Christians, but hardly any go to church. Why? Perhaps because normal churches are almost wholly irrelevant to peoples real lives. Well, not any more - not at WBNC!
A church without a purpose is a waste of space and time. Jesus very clearly laid out what he wanted the church to be and to do, and yet somehow over the years we seem to have forgotten what that purpose is. At WBNC we want to be very clear about who we are and what we are here for. Our purpose is five-fold:

1. Welcome
The message of Jesus is very clear - human beings belong in families and the Church is one big family. A Christian who doesn't belong to a church is like an orphan who doesn't have a fmaily to love them. When anyone comes to West Bromwich Network Church we want them to experience the love of Jesus, and the love of a family. Everyone is welcome, no matter what your background, age, colour, gender, anything. Jesus is for everyone. You don't need to dress right or act right if you want to visit WBNC.
2. Worth
Don't you think you're worth more than an endless slog at work, or a life spent in front of the TV? Of course you are, and of course your life is already much more than either of those things - but sometimes all of us feel disappointed with life and not sure if we really add up to much. We want everyone to know their full worth - which is pricelessness in God's sight. Only by reconnecting with God can you understand who you really are and what your purpose really is. We want to bless you by helping you discover your full worth and reaching your full potential.
3. Wellbeing
Jesus called us to love one another as he has loved us. That means we spiritually, emotionally and practically need to care for each other within our church family. We will care for you and help you care for others too. It's all about creating a community which is happy, joyful, whole and well! No more down trodden people plodding around, but people released to live life to the full because of the support and love of Jesus and their friends and family from WBNC.
4. World
West Bromwich is a very diverse place, with people from all over the world. Many have fled persecution and trouble elsewhere. Some of us have grown up here and know nothing else. Whereever we are from, and whatever our background is, Jesus said "Love your neighbour as yourself". That means we have to care about the people not just living next to us, but the people who we share this planet with. At WBNC we will regularly be doing things to directly benefit and bless the world's poorest and neediest people, as well as the poor and needy on our own doorstep. We are committed to loving our neighbours anywhere in the world.
5. Worship
This is the big one. Without this none of the rest of it makes any sense. Loving God with everythign we have and everything we are makes the other four things possible and gives us the firmest foundation for enjoying life and for changing our community and our world. God made us for relationship, not just with each other, but with Him too. You may never have known God personally, but we want to make Him more than just a distant concept for you, we want Him to become real for you too. You'll be amazed by the testimony of people who can speak about this real and living God that they know personally, and soon you'll know His undying love for you too.
