Alpha

The Alpha Course is a course on the basics of the Christian faith, described as an ‘opportunity to explore the meaning of life’.

Since the course was first run in 1990 it is estimated that over 13 million people worldwide have been on an Alpha Course. The course is a series of sessions over ten weeks. Each session starts with a meal, followed by a talk and then discussions in small groups. The talks aim to cover the basic beliefs of the Christian faith. It is a chance to discuss open and honestly the big questions such as life and death and their meaning.
