Welcome to West Bromwich Network Church

West Bromwich Network Church is a Church of England ministry in and around West Bromwich, starting new stuff for young families and young adults. Whether you think church is something to bother with or not, we hope you'll give us a go and maybe surprise yourself a little.
Meet Tae Wan and Adrienn

Each year West Bromwich & District YMCA has space for two volunteers from overseas who come to serve as Chrsitians in West Bromwich. Their placement is organised by Time for God, a large international voluntary organisation. While working primarily at the YMCA here in West Bromwich, these volunteers are also placed with a local church - namely WBNC!

On Thursday 28th August 2008 our next two volunteers arrive from Hungary and South Korea! (The fact that last year's volunteers were also from Hungary and South Korea is, I'm told, a total coincidence!).

No service on July 27th
We meet every sunday at Wood Lane Community Centre - normally! But there will be no life:time service on Sunday 27th July 2008 while Andy and his band the Rumour play at Soul Survivor North, one of the largest Christian festivals in the UK. Normal service will resume on 3rd August at 3.30pm however.
Please join us then!

1st Birthday Celebration & Baptism
On Sunday 1st June in Wood Lane Community Centre we are going to be celebrating our first birthday together as a church! It's a hugely exciting moment for us and we'd love you to come and join with us as we celebrate together.

Freedom in Christ
Every Sunday at 3pm for the next few months we're going to be following through a series of teaching called "Freedom in Christ". It's an amazing and life changing course which will set you free from an old way of life and release you into a mindset and lifestyle which will truly set you free. How? By giving you a new rigid routine or set of rules? NO! The Freedom in Christ course simply and plainly teaches who we really are as Christians and how God sees us.

When is a Christian not a Christian?

There is a fantastic old joke, which every schoolkid knows - "when is a door, not a door? Answer: When it's A JAR!"

I know - awful really, and try as I might I can't think of a funny answer to the question "When is a Christian not a Christian?" because it's a hugely serious matter, often overlooked and one which so many get caught out on sadly. I hope in this brief article I might be able to help unlock the simple truths behind this issue.

Welcome

One of our 5 core values as a church is to Welcome people warmly into God's kingdom and into our church family.

Worth

We want everyone to find their full worth in life, to understand the purpose of their life and their true idenity in Jesus Christ.

Wellbeing

As a church we are dedicated to caring for one another. We are a church which wants to see the broken made whole, the sick healed, the lost find their place in the world once more. We want to see people set free to live a good and whole life which God intended for them to have before the world stole it away! But wellbeing isn't just about physical health and financial security - it's also about spiritual and eternal wellbeing. At WBNC we want to offer the full range of wellbeing to anyone and everyone!

World

We're not a church which just wants to serve our own ends - we want to see the world transformed - well, specifically, West Bromwich. That's the little part of the world God has given us to care for and we intend to love it like Jesus said, and see it transform like God wants. Our focus is outwards to the world around, and upwards to God!

Worship

Life takes on a whole new dimension when we begin to worship our creator God, Jesus. It's what we were made for. Imagine being an aeroplane but only ever taxiing around a runway . Well that's what life is like when we're not worshipping God. Imagine being an aeroplane and experiencing the thrill of taking to the air for the first time - suddenly discovering why you were made and the freedom your life was intended for. That's what worshipping a God of love is like! Come and experience it with us!
