Life - a blessing, not a curse

When people think on their lives they tend to find reason to be discontent, displeased and discouraged! But that's not what life is for. Life has been given to us by God for goodness - He wants us to be disciples so we can be encouraged, empowered and enriched.

Many people make the mistake of thinking Christianity is a religion and it's all about obeying rules and therefore limiting life. Some churches make it like that sadly, but that's not what Jesus was about, and it's not what God the Father is about. Remember, we have life because God wanted to bless us and love us, so why would he then turn round and say "Oi, stop all that living! Be bored, be grumpy, and behave!". No, our God is a good God who wants us to live life to the full, and when God talks about things being full he means full and overflowing, the likes of which you'll never have experienced before.

In the Bible it says "Jesus came so that they might have life and have it to the full". Do you have that sort of life? I bet you don't. Most people don't because they are not living their lives how they were meant to be lived. They are a machine which is being operated incorrectly. When you operate a complex machine incorrectly it breaks, it doesn't run efficiently, and it doesn't produce what you want it to. We are designed for a purpose and we need to fulfil that purpose to feel fulfilled! Simple isn't it!
